Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay Tour

Day 1
Arrive at the hotel and check in and get settled, Tonight we will go to one of our local
Restaurants for a leisurely dinner. Go to bed early because tomorrow will be a full day.
Day 2
Breakfast is served in the hotel dining area. Board your coach and head for the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay. Our first stop will be the beautiful Greek Orthodox Church at Malbis. The church, a replica of a Byzantine Church in Athens, is a magnificent structure of ancient Greek architecture containing marble from the same quarry the provided stone for the Parthenon. Master pieces of religious art make Malbis a treasury as well as a church.
An unusual and super popular Eastern Shore stop is the Punta Clara Candy Kitchen, located in a rambling 1879 Victorian Home. This candy kitchen has been operated by the descendants of the original owners for over 75 years. Lunch will be at one of the local restaurants. We are in for a real treat when we stop at Story Book Castle. It was built during WWII by a gentleman that was an artist. He went to all the places where they were building house, shops, and picked up all the left over material and built his home. It is something to see. We will then head back to Mobile and the Hotel. Dinner to be announced.
Day 3
Breakfast in the hotel dining area. Today we will have a riding tour of Mobile and after lunch we will go to Flight Works Alabama. A new museum built in connection with Airbus, the facility that builds the A320 airplanes. First we will tour the museum where they have the virtual walk in space, you can fly and land an airplane and sit in the cockpit of one of their airplanes, and this is a rare opportunity to tour the facility and see how the airplanes are built. There is a bit of walking on this tour. Return to the hotel and dinner TBA.
Day 4
Breakfast is served in the hotel dining area. Bags out and depart for home.
